As a start to my new pact to be a more attentive blogger, here is my first post! These photos have been collecting dust in my blogging folder since Easter, so it is lovely to be able to finally share them with you. This was when i went to visit the Italian Glamour exhibition at the V&A in April. The sun was shining and the weather was beautiful so it would have been a shame to not get a few snaps on the steps of the iconic V&A! As for the exhibition, in all honesty i was a little disappointed! Considering we had to book a particular timed session to see the exhibit, it was overcrowded and had an uncomfortable atmosphere. Photographs were prohibited, which is expected in such an exhibit, but i was staggered to see that sketching was also not allowed! As a dedicated fashion student armed with a sketchbook and pencils, i was gutted to see this and honestly could not understand why they wouldn't allow it. Surrounded by foreign speakers shouting across the rooms and mobile phones trilling in handbags, it was chaos. Very bad management for such a significant museum and exhibition in London. But of course, the fashion was divine as always, i just wish i would have been able to record some of the exquisite detailing in sketch form!
For our Mother-Daughter day in out in London, i opted for this gorgeous denim midi skirt with a basic white top and a bright jacket. This skirt has been perfect for this on-off weather, typical in Spring, as it is airy and voluminous yet the denim still has weight in it and the hem falls below the knee. This bag was another bargain from Primark, it has barely been off my arm since i bought it, it looks so expensive and is surprisingly big too!
So good to be back, thank you for sticking by me my lovelies!
